CVMA Technical Assistance
Systems Improvement for School Districts

Ask the Experts!

Building and maintaining a system of vision and eye care takes collaboration and partnership. We will work with your program or agency to identify, and assist in implementing, vision and eye health procedures and protocols that ensure the best vision outcomes for the children you serve.

In partnership with the National Center for Children’s Vision and Eye Health at Prevent Blindness, Children’s Vision Massachusetts (CVMA) offers technical assistance to local school districts, early education programs, organizations, and state and local agencies to provide information and training for evidence-based vision screening procedures, evidence-based screening tools, and program evaluation and needs assessments relative to Massachusetts vision screening guidelines and vision regulations.

Additionally, CVMA will work collaboratively with early childhood education programs, Head Start programs, private and public school systems, and local town and state agencies to help build or strengthen internal strategies to improve child screening referral completion rates and support for maintenance of follow-up vision treatment.
